In Berlin, there's a tradition not to be taken lightly: the park barbecue.

At Claude-sans-coeur, we're lucky enough to live just next door to Volkspark Friedrichshain, a huge public park with an awesome vibe. So last Sunday, with a few friends, Julius and the intern made it out to the park to grill up some soy steaks in celebration of the imminent arrival of summer.

Julius remembered to bring his superfly sunglasses.

The park was packed with people; it was hot out and smelling of sunshine and grilled sausage.

The friends brought enough marinaded soy steak and stuffed mushrooms to feed an entire army.

Julius even made a new friend!

Afterwards, when everyone had had their fill, they laid themselves down for a little nap in the shade...

Another perfect lazy Sunday...
